Jason- Kwok Kwan Chan

With over 15 years of architectural practice experience in London, Los Angeles and Shanghai, Jason believes that architecture needs to deliver a positive experience, which inspires everyday delight and joy in our communities.
He has been a partner at the London-based architectural firm Make Architects for nine years and was a lead designer at MADA Spam in Shanghai and Los Angeles. He has worked on projects ranging from USD$70k to $220M with global brands such as Harrods, Radisson Blu, Brookfield Multiplex, The Mercers’ Company and Dorsett Hotel as well as numerous private Clients. Key projects include Shanghai Natural History Museum, London Wall Place, Brookfield Place, Harrods Headquater Office, and Older Brewer’s Yard. His diverse portfolio of work provides a unique cross-sector perspective when designing the spaces and responding creatively to the Clients’ requirements
In academic teaching, he currently holds the position of part-time lecturer at Seoul National University (SNU), running a design studio and undertaking his doctoral research within the institution. Prior to this, he has been a visiting design and technical tutor for Lund University (Sweden), Oxford Brookes University (UK), and Central St Martin (London) and regular critiques in various universities. His work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions including the 2009 Venice Biennale at the Austrian Pavilion and the 2019 Hong Kong Urban/ Architecture Biennale.
Plot Architects
Collaborator
Founder Myoungjae Kim and Yeojin Choi are specialists in education architecture and community design. They are currently design tutors for university undergraduate programmes in Seoul.
Plot Architects is a regular collaborator of Studio POPPOP. Together the two practices have worked on several residential and community competitions. In 2021, the two practices won the first prize for the Na Tae-ju Literature Hall in Gongju-si, South Korea. The project is dedicated to the living poet, whose body of work includes “풀꽃” or “Wild Flower”.
Wei Lee
Collaborator
Wei is an architect with a multidisciplinary background; trainings from MSc Architectural History (UCL) and PGDip Sustainable Food and Natural Resources (Centre for Alternative Technology) support her aspiration to make the built environment more nature- and community-inclusive.
She has diverse experience ranging from conceptual installations to masterplanning and project deliveries, as well as volunteering for conservation work to protect ancient woodlands and nature reserves.
Wei continues her research in history and ecology alongside her practice and provides Studio POPPOP with insight into low-impact building materials and socio-ecological sustainability for land use, built environment and planning.
Teddy Kim

Teddy has over eight years of practical experience in managing human resources and is a very good boy that enjoys a belly rub.
